Lee is a former banking executive with over 30 years’ experience in the Financial Services sector leading risk management, commercial lending and business transformation teams at both RBS and NatWest. As a senior risk executive, he was Chair and Member of various operational risk and business boards as well as serving as a Director on a several subsidiary company boards for both banks. He holds numerous qualifications from the Chartered Banker.

In 2019, he set up a successful consultancy business that offers executive coaching and leadership development to aspiring and established leaders predominantly in the Financial Services industry. 

Lee is also an active non-executive director and joined the LLSE Board in January 2024. He is passionate about improving educational and leadership standards across all levels of the sector and hopes his experience outside of the Education sector can bring new and different perspectives to LLSE’s Board and its operations.

He is also currently a Trustee at BOSP, a charity providing educational and developmental activities for severely disabled children and was formerly a Board Member at female health charity Ovarian Cancer Action.
