Coaching supervision is a method of support, challenge and professional development for coaches. According to Bachkirova, Stevens and Willis (2005),  
“Coaching supervision is a formal process of professional support, which ensures continuing development of the coach and the effectiveness of his/her coaching practice through interactive reflection interpretative evaluation, and the sharing of expertise.”  
 
Supervision serves multiple purposes. According to the European Mentoring and Coaching Council, “Coaching Supervision is a safe space for reflective dialogue with a practicing supervisor, supporting the supervisee’s practice, development and well-being. 
The purpose of supervision is: 
1.To ensure the supervisee maintains appropriate professional standards 
2.To facilitate the development of the supervisee’s professional practice 
3.To provide support for the supervisee’s well-being" 
 
Coaching supervision differs from coaching in that the coach is focused on the client, whereas a supervisor is focusing more holistically on the client, the coach and the other stakeholders to ensure the best outcomes. It is also a space where a more experienced coach can support a coach in working through challenges, ethical dilemmas, and conflicts using examples from their own experience.  

• A range of affordable packages from as few as three sessions per year through to twelve or more. 
• Individual supervision or group supervision depending on what suits your needs. 
• Flexibility to schedule to suit your availability or join a group session at a time that fits around your other commitments. 

Once you have booked through our CSM Directory, we will then be in touch with the specialist, for them to contact you directly and organise the sessions. 

We offer both options depending on your preference. 

Supervisors are experienced coaches and supervisors. We expect them to hold at least a Level 5 supervisor qualification or a Level 7 coaching qualification, and to demonstrate their coaching experience. You can view all of their profiles here.

Hours purchased can be spent as required in consultation with the coach and depending on their availability on the booking platform. Session length can be flexible, so a 3-hour package can be spent in either 3 1-hour sessions or 2 90-minute sessions. 

Sessions will take place online.

Yes, supervision should be recorded and used against the requirements of your accrediting organisation for coaching supervision. Our packages have been designed with specific hours required by the main coaching accrediting organisations in mind.
