Executive Team

Kate has been involved with LLSE since its inception 10 years ago when 5 Headteachers with strong moral purpose decided to collaborate to build capacity for great professional development. She began her career in education as a lecturer teaching Fine Art and History of Art in specialist creative industries HEIs in London, before moving into leadership roles in HE and FE. In these creative environments Kate developed a passion for collaboration and a belief in the impact of partnership, which she then took to work with schools, developing networks, leading local partnerships for inclusion, designing the 14-19 curriculum and developing leadership capacity.

As a Teaching School Director, DfE Adviser and Regional Lead for the Teaching School Council she supported the development of systems leadership in the South-East. Having enjoyed the diversity of consultancy work providing strategic advice and guidance to Local Authorities and school / college partnerships for many years, she took up her current role in 2021 to help steer the development of LLSE as a national training provider. Kate is privileged to be Chair of Governors at a fantastic Special School in Kent serving the needs of young people with social, emotional and mental health challenges.
