Supporting leaders to have effective and positive conversations

LLSE is collaborating with the School Leader Coaching team (www.schoolleadercoaching.co.uk) to offer an introductory course for anyone working in a school or college who wants to develop more positive, purposeful and effective conversations with colleagues or team members.

The course introduces practical tools and approaches that enable participants to lead facilitative conversations from a coaching mindset. It supports the development of greater openness, collaboration, teamwork and individual agency.

Individuals and small groups can apply to join one of our open cohorts. Schools, colleges, trusts and other organisations can also contact us to arrange a dedicated cohort for their own staff, delivered at dates and times that best suit their needs.

What will the course help me to achieve?

After completing the training, you will feel confident to approach conversations from a coaching mindset. You will be able to listen more deeply, ask insightful questions and create an environment that encourages openness and collaboration. Using coaching skills, you’ll handle difficult discussions more effectively, support team members’ growth and foster stronger, more positive relationships. Whilst being equipped to lead impactful conversations that inspire change and drive success within your teams.

Dates and delivery formats for the programme

You can join an open cohort listed below, delivered over three 2-hour online sessions. These sessions are scheduled in advance so you can learn alongside leaders from a range of different schools and contexts.

Alternatively, schools can arrange a private cohort exclusively for their team. Private cohorts can be delivered online or, where location allows, in person. The structure can also be adapted for in-school delivery, including a full-day CPD option or a flexible format agreed to suit your context.

The dates available are currently (with future dates constantly released):

Participants will attend all three sessions to complete the training.

How much does it cost?

Course fees and booking options

Join an open cohort

Individuals can apply to join one of our scheduled open cohorts. The cost is £200 + VAT per participant.

Commission a bespoke cohort

Schools, colleges, trusts and other organisations can commission a dedicated cohort for their own staff.

The cost is:

£1,000 + VAT for up to five participants
£150 + VAT for each additional participant
Organisations may also choose to offer or sell additional places to colleagues from other schools or organisations, enabling them to create a larger local cohort and share the cost.

Bespoke cohorts can be tailored to suit the needs of the group. The commissioning organisation can choose:

  • online or in-person delivery;
  • delivery across three separate sessions; or
  • delivery as a single-day course.

It is a great first step into the transformative power of coaching and how you could harness this in your leadership role.
